The installation

A Fall Detector, an ANT+ smartphone with Android and the Fall Detection app is needed. The app is installed only once on the smartphone.



The functionality

After starting the app and turning on the fall detector, which is worn on a belt, both devices connect automatically and signalize their status.
The smartphone connects to the alarmserver constantly.
Therefore a simple GPRS/UMTS connection is needed. If this connection is not possible the user will be informed via smartphone.



In case of emergency

In case of a fall, an accident or a manual alarm up to 3 different phone numbers are notified.
Further the smartphones sends the GPS coordinates to the server. Using this information rescue personal can find the user much faster!

Different Alarms can be configured. Next to a fall, also inactivity, loss or connection problems can be detected. False alarms can be handled with manual confirmations.
